ArabWIC UAE was honored by Dr. Kaoutar ElMagraoui visit to UAE in April 2018. She has conducted several workshops at University of Sharjah.

Round Table Discussion

One of the activities that Dr. Kaoutar conducted under the hostess of OpenUAE Research and Development Group and ArabWIC UAE was a Round Table Discussion. Students of University of Sharjah were excited to meet the IBM researcher and ArabWIC chair to know more about the successful journey she went through and challenges she has faced. Dr. Kaoutar generously answered all questions she has received. She also gave advices about the research world and the new technologies that student can consider. Moreover, she introduced the IBM opportunities and programs.

Technical Talk on Open Source

An amazing technical session was also delivered by Dr. Kaoutar at University of Sharjah about the Open Source AI services that IBM can provide. The discussion covered IBM Watson and Chatbots services.

Practical Blockchain Workshop

Dr. Kaoutar delivered workshop on blockchain technology. She talked about blockchain solution provided by IBM for developers, startups and businesses. Moreover, she gave the audience an amazing experience of hands-on practical activity using IBM tools.
